Experience built across languages and industries
I am a self-employed translator based in Bicester, UK, with over 20 years' professional experience.
I translate a wide range of texts from Spanish, Catalan and, on occasion, French into English for end clients and language service agencies. I also have experience in liaison interpreting, editing and proofreading.
After completing my A levels at Helston Sixth Form College, I graduated from the University of Exeter with a BA (Combined Honours) in Modern Languages, Spanish and French, in 2003.
I subsequently completed a BA in Translation and Interpreting at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, studying Spanish, Catalan, French and English and graduating in 2006.
I then spent two years gaining experience as a proofreader and editor at Manners Traduccions in Barcelona before becoming self-employed in 2008.
Since then I have worked with a broad range of clients, including Barcelona courts, law firms, accountancy firms, consultancy providers and translation agencies.
